Vici map on your own website

Schermafbeelding 2013-03-01 om 10.32.47Vici.org provides a platform for anyone interested in Roman history and Roman heritage. It allows Roman history to relive in the places where it happened. Vici.org is build by Rene Voorburg, Functional Application Manager & Web Archivist at Koninklijke Bibliotheek (Royal Library) in the Netherlands.
The interactive map of Vici.org can now easily be posted on your website. You can find the instructions on the vici.org website.

The functionality of the ‘widget’ is still less than the card on Vici.org. For instance the lines (roads, etc.) are yet missing. It is also not possible to turn on or off the specific markers (such as “only visible markers). It is the intention to add that functionality as well.

Th full code of Vici.org is freely available on https://github.com/renevoorburg/vici Anyone who wants to help to add features or improve the code is very welcome.
