The Galloroman museum Vessuna is an outstanding example of how to present scruffy stuff in a glamorous way. Well designed, in a beautiful and transparent setting it really turns heritage fashionable. It is also one of the rare cases where we take an entire museum instead of a single exhibit. And that is so because it simply is a whole. After entering the building the first glance is at the entire space in its full glory. The rest of the visit is merely about focussing on the different ingredients and seeing different angles of it all. Only praise? No, what this case offers in aesthetics, it lacks perhaps in originality and personal contact. It is the venue to admire past and present architects, but not a place that touches the soul.
