At the Zuiderzeemuseum in Enkhuizen time stood still. Unfashionable nostalgia to some, important heritage to others. Although it is a matter of taste, it would be a pity if all these activities and rituals of the Dutch past would disappear entirely from earth. In society these things get lost more and more, museums are sometimes the only places where this heritage is kept alive. And that is well done at the Zuiderzeemuseum. With attention, devoted people, accurate setting and the real stuff. Visitors can watch, help and try for themselves. Not everybodies cup of tea anymore, but definitely worth the conservational effort.
